The Awakening
A FOUR DAY RETREAT IN THE HEART OF ENGLAND
MAY 15-18, 2025
The Land is Calling
Do you feel something awakening in you?
The inspiration to create without holding back.
The impulse to lift your voice and be heard.
The stirring of your emerging power.
The calling to finally come out as who you really are.
The readiness to step into your mastery.
The opening of your heart, ready to love as never before.
The knowing that the time is now.
Spring is the time of awakening.
The energetic direction of Spring is tenacious: upward and outward, powerful and unstoppable.
This is the season to open to your dreams, visions and sweet longings.
To remember that anything is possible.
To ask yourself:
Who do you want to be, what do you long to express and embody, what gives you simple pleasure and lights the fire in your heart?
This is the season to step into your authenticity and your truth: to celebrate who you really are.

"It honestly has been one of the nicest weekends I have had. Full credit to you for putting together such a wonderful range of activities in such a fine setting, with such lovely people."

Dr. Carolyn Eddleston
Carolyn worked within the NHS as a GP then 22 years ago, after completing a 3 year full-time Diploma in Acupuncture, funded and founded her own Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in rural Leicestershire.
Her position as Principal and Medical Director bridges these two worlds and gives her a greater understanding of health and illness, and our connection as humans with the natural world and the cycles of the seasons.
Carolyn works intuitively, with the added reassurance of her medical knowledge and invites transformation from the inside out. She holds a sacred space for you to express fully, settle your nervous system, and connect with your innate healing wisdom and capacity as your illness story changes to one of hope and vitality.

Spacious offerings to inspire you.
Spring energy is tenacious: upward and outward, powerful and unstoppable.
But it is also vulnerable: new growth is tender, unsure, easily crushed.
Our retreat offerings are designed to nurture and support you in your vulnerability and celebrate you in your tenacious bravery and authenticity.
Through ceremony you will enter the heightened field of our retreat: a place where rapid transformation can take place effortlessly.
Each morning you can join Sunrise Qigong, attuning your body and your energy to Nature and the land.
An evening session of therapeutic sound and acupuncture supports your nervous system to come into balance and open your consciousness to your expanded self.
Daytime workshops teach you new ways to speak your truth, tune into your desires and create deeper connections with others.
Our fire pit drum circle frees your voice, body and energy and connects you with joy.
Additional individual therapeutic sessions can provide bespoke support for releasing, healing and stepping into your true self.
Walk the labyrinth. Sit by the fire. Swing in the tree swing. Lighten up with Melanie & Harry, the resident pigs. Connect with the ancient land in solitude. Enjoy nourishing food in community with others. Receive the luxury and retreat of Nanpantan Hall.
All activities are optional as you choose your own medicine, follow your pleasure, and listen to what lights up your heart.
Take time out to tune in to what is ready to awaken in you.
“I became more willing to share my thoughts and feelings as the facilitators were non judgemental and supportive. The facilitators gave members of the group time to reflect and not feel pressured to respond. It was uplifting to see how group members supported each other and there was a lot of laughter to release any tension.”

A Historic Estate on Ancient Land.
Nanpantan Hall is a historical Victorian country house set in sixteen acres of picturesque countryside amongst ancient, 700-million-year old volcanic rock outcrops in the heart of Charnwood National Forest in Leicestershire.
Our retreat will have exclusive use of this spectacular estate. There are forested and meadow walks, a hidden dell ideal for quiet contemplation, a well kept garden, and means of entry to public footpaths beyond the estate. A garden terrace along the back of the house overlooks the lawns and far reaching picturesque views of the Leicestershire countryside. A permanent labyrinth in the grounds invites meditative reflection.
The Hall itself features a variety of beautiful, quiet gathering rooms, log fires, and a bright and spacious practice space, with inspirational art throughout.
You have the option to book one of the jewel-box Victorian bedrooms, or a modern ensuite room on the top floor, with sweeping views of the land and horizon.
Family owned since being built in the 1870's, Nanpantan Hall was donated to the School of Philosophy in 1986 and is steeped in meditative silence that has been generated by groups from many different traditions.
“Such a peaceful and welcoming space. Every attention to detail from walking in through the front door. The gifts just kept coming: a very comfortable room, exquisite views, warm and cosy, a never ending flow of delightful food with no chance of going hungry.”
